'Another great year' for trade says Cruise Isle of Man

The final cruise ship of the year arrives in Manx waters this morning (15 September) and it'll be her sixth visit this season!

Corinthian, a Grand Circle Line vessel, generally carries around 100 passengers and 70 crew members.

It'll be the 37th cruise stopping in Manx waters this year taking the overall visitor total to 16,818 and crew total to 10,239.

It's hoped many people will come ashore today and spend money contributing to the Isle of Man economy.

But what has this summer been like in general and what goes into scheduling so many visitors to our shores?
