Media Development Fund losses being looked into
Two filmmakers with Island connections will appear before Tynwald's public accounts committee today.
It's currently looking at the £26 million of taxpayers' money lost by the Media Development Fund.
The committee's members are due to hear from Dave Armstrong of DAM Productions and Alistair Audsley, who's the founder of Solus.
The pair are expected to to share information and opinion on the international film and television sector, make observations on how those markets might have influenced the fund in the past, and future opportunities.
The evidence will be taken in public in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas, starting at 1pm.
