Closing celebrations for Year of Our Island
The weather may have been a bit gloomy, but there's a festival of light in Castletown this evening (Sat 9)
It's part of the closing celebrations of the Year of Our Island initiative.
Castle Rushen has been specially opened by Manx National Heritage today from 11am to 8pm and there will be a special exhibition of willow and clound lanterns and stained glass in the Castle's Barbican.
At 6pm this evening a series of light installations will illuminate Castle Rushen, the town square and a trail of Balley Cashtal Beg's fairy doors.
Local food produces and artisans will have stalls and all are welcome to attend as the Year of Our Island draws to a close.
