Possible delays for passengers this weekend
Ferry passengers traveling to the Island this weekend have been warned of some possible traffic disruption.
Paisley Place in Liverpool - the usual entrance for vehicles driving on and off the Steam Packet ferry - will be closed on Saturday and Sunday (18-19 August).
It's due to the Red Bull Drift Shifters extreme racing event, which is taking place outside the Royal Liver Building.
Passengers on the 11.15am and 7.15pm Saturday sailings, and the 8.30pm crossing on Sunday, will be able to access the Pier Head via St Nicholas Place and Paisley Street, around half a mile north.
Foot passengers and cyclists can access the terminal as normal.
