
A shipping company which is preparing to take on the Steam Packet in the freight and passenger markets says it now plans to start operating early next year.
Originally, the plan was to have Ellan Vannin Line up and running by October – but the current owners of the vessel which will run the service haven’t found a replacement for their ship.
That meant Ellan Vannin has had to choose between finding another boat or waiting until the chosen ship, the Cometa, is available.
In a new Youtube promotional video, Captain Kurt Buchholz of Ellan Vannin Line says the service will now start in February:
