The honour is the civilian equivalent of the Elizabeth Cross
The father of a murdered police constable from the Isle of Man believes his daughter would be proud to be awarded the Elizabeth Emblem.
Fiona Bone, who grew up in Port St Mary, was killed in a gun and grenade ambush alongside her colleague PC Nicola Hughes whilst working for Greater Manchester Police in 2012.
They'd been responding to reports of a burglary when they were attacked.
Both Paul Bone and Bryn Hughes have been advocating for public servants, who are killed while on duty, to be given recognition.
Yesterday the families of 38 police officers, firefighters and other public officials received the award from King Charles.
Mr Bone says although he knew for months about the award, it was very emotional:
