
The father of a Scottish oil engineer who's reported to have been kidnapped in Indonesia, is awaiting news at his home in the Isle of Man.
Police in the Aceh area are investigating reports 62-year old Malcolm Primrose was seized from his car by a group of armed men while travelling back from a mine site with a driver.
The oil worker has been based in the south-east asian country for a number of years and was working for Indonesian energy company Medco Exploration and Production.
Mr Primrose's father Sid who lives in the Ramsey area, heard his son was missing through radio reports this morning but has has received no further informationĀ as to his current fate.
It's understood the British embassy in Jakarta has been in touch with the family.
