Tim Johnston declares candidacy in General Election
The president of the Manx National Farmers Union has announced his intention to stand in September's General Election.
Tim Johnston has declared in the constituency of Ayre and Michael.
He's lived in the area for nearly 35 years and says he's passionate about agriculture and the rural economy.
Mr Johnston says these 'communities need a strong voice' in government, to improve policies reflecting these needs such as 'decent roads, better broadband and vehicle taxation that is fair for rural drivers'.
The Isle of Man General Election will take place on 23 September.
