DEFA concerns highlighted during Select Commitee session
Farmers and food producers on the Isle of Man are choosing not to explore ‘live market opportunities’ because of the cost of freight.
That’s the view of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture which says high fares are a concern for many.
It’s told the Select Committee of Tynwald on the Regulation of the Steam Packet Company that it wants more input into the Sea Services User Agreement.
The committee was established to review the SSUA and the status of Treasury as shareholder of the company.
