Hignett family to take on ten 10-mile walks, ending at Everton's new ground
An Andreas woman is taking on another challenge in memory of her late husband, in a bid to make sure his fight against cancer is 'never forgotten'.
Darren 'Daz' Hignett died of bladder cancer the day before their 25th wedding anniversary in September 2023, after an 18-month battle with the disease.
Now, after taking on a 'Walk of Life' last summer, his wife Liz is again taking to the streets - along with her family - to take on ten 10-mile walks on the ten weekends leading up to his second anniversary.
The final walk will take place across the water in Liverpool, culminating at the new Everton home ground, Hill Dickinson Stadium, where a memorial stone is present.
