Chief minister says highest demand for support comes in September
The chief minister is urging those concerned about hunger over the school holidays to contact the Treasury.
Howard Quayle revealed in this morning's sitting of Tynwald that demand on the Isle of Man Foodbank typically peaks in September, once parents have had to buy school uniforms and equipment.
Following a question from Garff MHK Daphne Caine, Mr Quayle stressed some families could receive help towards school clothing through social security.
