Fire crews spent around 40 minutes at Noble’s Hospital today after faulty electrical equipment sparked a fire alert.
The Fire and Rescue Service says it was called to the hospital just after 3pm after staff smelled burning and a fire suppression system was set off in an IT server room.
Fire fighters discovered a faulty backup power supply had triggered a false alert.
Crews spent around 40 minutes ventilating the area and checking it was safe.
