Face coverings to be made mandatory on public transport

Government also 'expecting' them in indoor settings

Face coverings will be made mandatory on public transport on the Isle of Man from 4am on Tuesday.

It's in response to a new variant of Covid-19 called Omicron which was first detected in South Africa. 

They'll also be mandatory in all health and social care settings. 

Government says it's also now 'expecting' residents to wear face coverings in a number of indoor settings.

This includes retail premises, shops and in schools – however they won't be mandated in hospitality settings.
