Dermatology services could be transferred to Ramsey
The possibility of specialist dermatology services being moved to Ramsey Cottage Hospital is being discussed.
A Tynwald Committee, examining the background to the transfer of endoscopy facilities to Noble's Hospital, has been told bringing the equipment south would enable more patients to be treated at a quicker rate.
During the session, a claim that the equipment in question was lying inside a cupboard at Nobles was emphatically denied by Health Minister Kate Beecroft and her Chief Executive Malcolm Couch.
Afterwards, Dr Couch was asked whether discussions on the future of the hospital at Ramsey had taken place:
Police dealing with 'serious incident' in Ramsey
Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
