A leading expert on drugs policy has backed the Chief Minister’s call for a rethink of how drug users are treated on the Isle of Man.
Professor David Nutt gave a talk at the Manx Museum last month calling for a liberalisation of the Island’s drug laws.
That prompted Allan Bell MHK to say the Island should rethink its approach to drugs.
Commenting on Twitter, Professor Nutt noted Mr Bell’s stance, telling his 24,000 followers: “With brave and open-minded leadership, Isle of Man could pioneer cannabis research and rational drugs policy.”
