Ambitious programme would significantly benefit tourism
An Island businessman says an ambitious investment in cruise liner facilities could significantly benefit tourism.
Members of the Island’s business community are being invited to a presentation tomorrow (Tuesday), organised by the Isle of Man Shipping Association.
One of the speakers, Angie Redhead, the head of Cruise Britain, will outline the benefits of an expanding cruise sector.
Association chairman Lars Ugland says funding a deep water berth for visiting cruise ships would be expensive but, ultimately, would make a major profit and be a massive boon for the Isle of Man.
