Repairs should relieve flood risks, says Manx Peat Partnership
It's hoped work restoring some areas of the upper peat moorland on the Island could diminish flood risks in lower areas.
This largely involves repairing the scars in the hillside left behind after peat, dried and used for burning, was removed.
And it's part of the biosphere work the Island is so proud of.
