DoI to take on essential maintenance works
A series of evening closures along the Mountain Road are set to start this week.
It's to allow for verge cutting and hedge trimming works which the Department of Infrastructure says is essential ahead of the Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix.
Tomorrow and Thursday (5-6 August), the northern section of the route between Ramsey and the Bungalow will close from 6:30pm until 10:30pm.
It will then close from the Bungalow to the Creg Ny Baa Back Road between 6:30pm and 10:30pm on Friday, Monday and Tuesday (7, 10, 11 August).
Access to the Victory Café will be maintained via the Tholt Y Will Road throughout the closure periods.
Access to Creg Ny Baa will also always be available from Douglas, Laxey and Onchan.
