Gales could scupper pre-festive Steam Packet sailings

Up until Christmas Eve, sailings could be disrupted

This evening's 8.45pm Manxman sailing could be disrupted or cancelled due to 'rapid deterioration' in the latest weather forecast.

If the Steam Packet Company cancels the trip, it would mean its overnight return would also be cancelled.

Ronaldsway Met Office is predicting winds will increase to strong during the day, which is expected to bring gales of up to 60mph.

Meanwhile, tomorrow's (20 December) 7.15pm is also subject to cancellation, also due to adverse weather forecasts.

A final decision on the trips will be made by 5.30pm on the respective days.
