FEDECRAIL contingent impressed by Manx heritage railways
A group of European rail enthusiasts have completed a trip to the island, to support the Manx rail network.
In particular, the Douglas Bay Horse Trams.
Eighty members of FEDECRAIL - European Federation of Museum and Tourist Railways and Tramways - have been touring the Island.
Manx Radio spoke with two members from Gothenburg, Sweden:
The latest on the future of the horse trams is that a design for restoring the tramway from the War Memorial to the Sea Terminal is due to be considered by Treasury.
If support is given, Tynwald members will then be asked if they'll give the project the go-ahead.
Tynwald originally voted in favour of the track in 2017, but the money was used elsewhere on the promenade regeneration scheme.
