Local settlement scheme to be introduced
Settlements secured for EU nationals by the UK in negotiations over Brexit will apply to those resident in the Island.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle made the statement in Tynwald this morning (Tues 17/07).
He was responding to a question from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper.
Mr Quayle told the court the positions of EU citizens and their family members who live in the Island will be protected and there will be a local scheme for them to apply for settlement here.
