Commissioner wants move put on hold
The ending of endoscopy procedures at Ramsey Cottage Hospital has been branded ‘flawed’ by a town commissioner.
Since last week, treatment has been carried out on one site at Noble’s, as opposed to both hospitals, in a move health officials say will reduce waiting lists and ensure more follow-up appointments are carried out.
However, Eric Corkish is not convinced and wants the move put on hold.
With medical equipment due to be transferred to Noble’s, he is worried trustees and supporters of the Ramsey hospital will gift no more money to the northern facility.
