Brenda Cannell officially retires as MHK
A long-time MHK has officially stepped down.
Yesterday (Tuesday) was Brenda Cannell's last as MHK for East Douglas, a position she's held since November 1996.
She also spent three years as a Douglas councillor.
Mrs Cannell says although taking a back seat, her interest in Manx politics will remain.
A by-election is expected to be held in late November or early December.
