Manxman voyage delayed as police, fire and coastguard crews attend Sea Terminal
Emergency services have been responding to an incident at Douglas Port this evening (19 March).
Fire crews, police and coastguard officers attended the scene at the Sea Terminal shortly after 6pm.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company says it has been advised of the incident and Port Authorities have requested the Master of Manxman to hold off while emergency services respond.
Manxman was due to depart for Heysham at 7:15pm, but didn't depart until 8:24pm.
Details of the incident have not been shared, however in an update this evening the Isle of Man Coastguard says the situation has been 'successfully resolved'.
The Isle of Man Constabulary says: 'Yesterday evening (19th March 2026), a joint operation was carried out involving the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service, the Isle of Man Ambulance Service, the Emergency Services Joint Control Room, and the Marine Operations Centre.
'At this stage there is no police involvement therefore, we are not in a position to provide further detail.'
