Hi-tech replacement for diesel vehicle
Port Erin Commissioners have a new van – but you’re more likely to see it than hear it.
The local authority has bought a new electric van to replace one of its older diesel models.
The move is expected to save ratepayers cash as well as cut the village’s carbon emissions.
Clerk to the commissioners Jason Roberts says the van will be much cheaper to run:
