Burglars who stole from an elderly man's flat while he was in hospital over Christmas have been branded 'appalling' by police.
They broke into his place at Castle Street Apartments in Peel some time between December 23 and 27, taking a small safe which had cash and premium bonds in it.
The Western Neighbourhood Policing Team says it would be a deplorable crime at any time of the year, but to be done at Christmas is appalling.
If you know anything about this crime or are offered premium bonds call Peel police station on 842208.
