Island will go to the polls in a month

Efforts are continuing to make voting at next month’s General Election accessible to everyone.

The Crown and Elections Team is hoping the process will be improved when the Island goes to the polls on 24 September.

Twenty-four people will be elected as MHKs to make up a new-look House of Keys. 

But there are questions about just how accessible our elections really are particularly for those with disabilities.

Ballakermeen High School student Evie Roberts is registered blind and is the host of the Talking in the Dark Podcast.
