The loss of, its estimated, eight thousand of the Island's flock in the recent freeze, will have a significant and long-term effect on the farming industry.
Yesterday Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne said the carcasses of close to three thousand sheep and two hundred cattle had been dealt with, but many more had still to be collected.
