The latest, quarterly education session for Island GPs takes place next Tuesday (24th)
Practices will remain open that afternoon for patients who need to do things like make appointments, collect test results or order repeat prescriptions and practice nurses will be working as normal.
The Department of Health says if you need a GP urgently you'll be able to see an on-call one in a similar way to out of hours cover, so you should still contact your practice in the first instance.
Dr Alex Allinson is chair of the GP's sub committee
