Around 650 new jobs created during this administration so far says government
Government's economic strategy isn't just about growing the population and creating new jobs.
That's from Chief Minister Alfred Cannan after he confirmed £33m from the Economic Strategy Fund has so far been committed to projects.
Government statistics show around 650 new jobs have been created since the start of the current administration.
But Mr Cannan says there are other elements to the strategy:
Government plans to withdraw interest from reserve fund no longer required
Higher than expected income tax receipts mean it's not necessary
Peel Commissioners not adding 'discretionary' one percent increase to social housing rents
It reviewed rent arrear levels and 'escalating' food costs when making the decision
New organ donation laws set to come into force in coming weeks
It follows Tynwald approval of new measures earlier this year
CoMin 'recognises and is mindful' of minimum wage concerns
