Ratepayers questioned government planning officers over the eastern area plan at a meeting in Marown last night.
Over 80 parish residents attended a meeting at the Marown Methodist Church Hall to raise questions about sites earmarked for development.
Some labelled it as a threat to the rural nature of the community.
Both Middle MHKs - Chief Minister Howard Quayle and Bill Shimmins - were present at the event to hear their concerns.
