53-year-old's advocate describes offence as 'foolish'
A Douglas woman has been banned from the roads for two years, and fined £1,000, after being caught drug driving.
Natalie Dawn Winter, of Johnny Watterson Lane, was stopped by police at 9.15am on 18 March in Greeba.
Police, in an unmarked vehicle, had noted the smell of cannabis coming from her black BMW.
The 52-year-old’s eyes were glazed and a drug wipe test was carried out.
Further tests showed she was three and a half times over the legal limit.
At Douglas Courthouse Winter’s advocate described the offence as ‘out of character’ and a ‘foolish action’.
Winter will also have to pay prosecution costs of £125.
