There is a ‘zero-tolerance’ approach to racers returning positive drug or alcohol tests during the Manx Grand Prix and TT.

That’s from the clerk of the course following the suspension of a rider from this year’s event.

Alex Sinclair – a competitor in the Junior, Classic Junior and Classic Senior categories – has been excluded following a 'non-negative' test result for a recreational drug.

Organisers issued a correction at 4.45pm after originally saying he's recorded a 'positive' result.
