But thousands admitted for alcohol abuse
The number of people admitted to Noble's Hospital for drug abuse has been falling over the last three years.
Figures revealed through a freedom of information request show 134 patients were admitted in the last financial year, compared to 186 in 2014/15 and 176 in 2015/16.
Data provided by the Department of Health and Social Care includes any patients with a diagnosis of some form of drug poisoning which was believed to be intentional.
It measures admissions by financial year - so far in 2017-18 bracket, 86 people have been sent to the hospital.
Meanwhile, more than 4,500 people have been admitted to Noble's as a result of alcohol abuse.
