Official figures for procedures in England
It's been revealed 88 women from the Island travelled to England for an abortion in 2016.
The figures, from the Department of Health in the UK, show a drop of 17 on the year before.
Manx residents made up almost 2% of the 4,810 non-English women who underwent the procedure there in 2016.
Terminations are only allowed under specific conditions here in the Island.
But proposals are presently being drafted for a Private Members' Bill in Tynwald, which could liberalise the laws.
