Futuristic sports day on Marine Drive
Professional drone racing is about to get underway on Marine Drive, Douglas.
California-based company DR1 has set up tents and headquarters halfway along the scenic route.
Over the next two days, five teams - comprised of competitors controlling their drones on the ground wearing virtual reality helmets - will race for a prize of £50,000.
The action is being filmed, and will be broadcast on channels Eurosport and Fox Sports in winter.
Today's racing involves the tiny flying machines diving off the cliff edge and down towards the sea.
Brad Foxhoven is from DR1.
