Driver who fled crash scene arrested and bailed

43-year-old involved in incident on Patrick Road

A driver has been arrested following a crash on the Patrick Road near Peel over the weekend.

The 43-year-old man was tracked down by police following an incident on Saturday morning (22 Aug), where a woman was left injured in a car.

Emergency services arrived to remove the 32-year-old female from the vehicle, by which time the male driver had left the scene.

He was found and arrested later that day on suspicion of driving while unfit due to drink or drugs, and driving without due care or attention.

The driver was released on police bail.
