A man’s been fined after doing almost twice the speed limit near a school in St John's.
Fifty-eight-year-old Martin King of Kennaa Road pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding through a coroner’s admission before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
Prosecution advocate Barry Swain said he’d been caught by police officers just after 8.30am on 27 November as he did 37mph in a 20mph school zone.
Magistrates fined him £170, put four points on his driving licence and ordered him to pay £50 towards prosecution costs.
