Sulby man involved in head-on crash on New Year's Day
A Sulby drink-driver caught after a head-on crash on New Year’s Day has been excused appearing in court because of current Covid-19 restrictions.
Fifty-four-year-old Simon Morris of Kerrowmoar was due to appear before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
He’d previously admitted drink driving and driving without insurance after the crash on Douglas Road in Ballasalla – a breath test showed he was more than two and a half times over the limit.
He was bailed and is due to appear in court again for sentencing on 27 April.
