Politician Tony Wild in court today
A member of the Legislative Council who drove while three times over the legal drink drive limit is due to be sentenced today (16 Feb).
Tony Wild who is 57, has already pleaded guilty to the offence.
He was driving in Laxey on the evening of 12 December 2015 when police stopped and tested him. His reading was 108 micrograms - the legal limit is 35.
The defendant, who lives in Fairy Cottage in Lonan and has no previous convictions, will appear before the Deputy High Bailiff.
