Self-proclaimed King of Mann calls it a day
The man who claimed to be King of the Isle of Man appears to have given up his fight to be recognised.
In an email seemingly signed by him, Drew Howe says that ‘after careful consideration, I've decided to abdicate any rights, responsibilities and/or privileges that my claim to the historical kingship of the Isle of Man affords me’.
He goes on to describe it as ‘an interesting last 10 years’.
He says he and his family will be coming back to the Island, but just as ‘regular common folk soaking in the Island's beauty and the warmth of it's awesome people’.
