Prolific inventor talks about the history of the pieces for sale
Manx resident, and prolific inventor, Dr John C Taylor is auctioning off more than 40 timepieces from his private collection.
Although he has over 400 patents filed in his name Dr Taylor is best known for inventing the kettle thermostat.
The 46 clocks for sale include a number by Thomas Tompion, a prominent horologist in the late 1600s, who is widely regarded as the "father of British clockmaking".
