A decision has been taken to re-launch a Douglas Residents and Ratepayers Association.
It was made at a public meeting last night (Tues) which was addressed by Douglas Councillor Chris Thomas and Chaired by former MHK and MLC Dominic Delaney.
The meeting also heard input from member of Ballasalla & District Residents Association Eddie Power and former Douglas restaurateur Butch Buttery.
It was decided that a formation committee would be set up to formulate an action plan and the constitution of the Association with more meetings organised for coming months.
Around 30 people attended last night's gathering at the South Douglas Old Friends Club and there was general agreement an Association would be a positive move
