Christmas is officially coming to the capital this evening (Thurs 20 Nov).
There will be a feast of festive treats and entertainment before the lights are switched on for another year.
The popular family event will also mark the start of Thursday late night shopping in the town.
Douglas Town Band will set the mood with a selection of carols from 6.15pm before local singer Rebecca Forrest takes the stage with some seasonal numbers.
The Roc Vannin choir will perform next, before the cast of Puss in Boots give a sneak preview of this year's pantomime at the Gaiety Theatre.
All the acts will build up to the main event - the switching on of the lights.
Mayor Councillor Stan Cain will perform the honours at 7.15pm and the Island's countdown to Christmas will begin.
Roads around the town hall will be closed from 6pm until midnight, from the Lord Street-Ridgeway Street junction to the Atholl Street-Prospect Hill junction.
