Capital rates frozen
Rates in the capital have been frozen.
Douglas Council has announced the rates will remain at 402 pence in the pound.
Council leader David Christian proposed the rate be held unchanged for the next financial year which starts on April the first.
The move was supported by 13 votes to one, with only councillor Stephen Pitts voting against.
Last week, the local authority said it would save £263,000 a year by scrapping the promenade horse trams service.
