Annual budget meeting this morning
Douglas Council will announce its rates for the next year later today.
The local authority’s members will gather in the town hall on Ridgeway Street at 10am for the annual budget meeting.
It comes in the wake of its decision last week to scrap the horse trams on Douglas Promenade which have run for 140 years – but cost the council around £263,000 in losses each year.
This morning’s meeting is open to members of the public.
