Douglas prom traffic diverted due to high tide

Those heading south will have to use Broadway

UPDATE: The promenade is now also closed between Marina Road and Port Jack, Onchan for the next two hours.

Due to coastal overtopping the following ares will be closed for approx 2hrs; Marina Road to Port Jack, Onchan and The Shore Road Gansey to junction with Castletown Road

Motorists using Douglas promenade won't be able to travel from Broadway towards the Sea Terminal due to coastal overtopping.

The Department of Infrastructure's MyProm has announced those heading southbound will be diverted up Broadway.

A yellow weather warning is in place, with waves expected to bring debris onto exposed roads around high tide, which is in the next hour.

The walkway and return lane are closed during this period.
