Total cost of the scheme said to be over £27 million
The redevelopment of Douglas prom didn't go over its final budget, according to the treasury minister.
Alex Allinson told the House of Keys it cost £25 million and had a further £2 million from the capital inflation scheme as well.
The project took several years to complete and saw a number of complications - including being late, over its original budget and hampered by the Covid pandemic.
Dr Allinson says there were also some other costs involved:
"It's just not sustainable to continue"
