Pieces of walkway ripped up
Storm Emma has been battering the Island today.
Police closed several roads earlier at high tide as waves battered Douglas promenade, causing substantial damage and flooding.
Railings have been buckled and broken, sections of the walkway ripped up and sunken gardens submerged.
The Loch promenade section - between the Sea Terminal and the junction by the Sefton hotel and Sam Webbs - was shut for a period around high tide, but has since reopened.
