Sure's Woodbourne Lane mast plans rejected
Telecoms company Sure has been told it can't place a 15-metre high mobile phone mast in a conservation area in Douglas.
An independent planning inspector says it would significantly harm the character and views round the Woodbourne Lane and Selbourne Drive area.
Sure had wanted the mast to boost coverage in the area and develop a 5G network.
Residents in the area spoke out against the plans in February last year.
Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas has welcomed the decision saying it's 'significant' in conservation terms.
